Submitting Pictures (or any image file) to H2O Polo
Your images need to be web ready, that is, in the .JPG or .GIF formats. JPG is the preferred format. Make sure to use 'medium' or 'high' compression. GIF is a good format. Remember that GIF images have reduced color sets (256).
Do not send files in BMP, PSD, TIF or other formats. The file sizes are large and we will not retouch or convert them for web publishing. You should convert them to the proper format before sending.
Deliver Your Images Via Email
We accept images via email only. The process is straight-forward:
- Create a new email message addressed
(type this address into your email application).
- Type a subject line which gives your name and that you are sending an image for Player of the Week. For example, the subject may read, "Image for Eric Estes Nomination for Player of the Week".
- Attach the properly formatted content files to the email and send.
Email software packages handle attachments in different manners. Consult your software's online help guide, user's manual or the manufacturers web site for instructions. Do not send images if the file is greater than 200 K. This causes undue strain on the mail server and we will not accept the image file.
Once we receive your email, we will review your image for proper format and then archive the file. Should your nomination be selected, we will add the photo to the Player of the Week page.
