Help for Player of the Week
Nominating someone for the Player of the Week puts him or her in the
running for fame and glory courtesy of H2O Polo. Nominees can be anyone
associated with the sport -- players, coaches, even fans.
Nominating is fun and easy. Use our form to nominate
someone today. You will be asked to include the nominee's name,
team, and a brief description of why he/she deserves to be the player of
the week.
Players of the Week are selected by the H2O Polo staff. Be compelling
so that our choice becomes easy!
Rules for Player Submissions
Please abide by the following:
- The nomination must be relevant to the water polo community.
- You may nominate up to three people per week.
- Do not resend the same nomination during the same month.
- No abusive or inappropriate language.
This service is a courtesy to the water polo community. The improper use of this feature will devalue its usefulness for everyone. Do not ruin it.

- Who may I nominate?
Players, coaches, teammates, fans and anyone involved in the water polo community. Be creative!
- How many people may I nominate per week?
Three. However, your nominations will be active for the entire month in which it is received. So, that means the same nomination will be considered four times in a given month if the submission is sent on the 1st day of the month.
- Who chooses the "Player of the Week?"
The staff at H2O Polo. We review submissions and choose one per week. We try to vary between level, geographic region and gender to keep it interesting.
- Why do you ask for my name and email?
There are many times when we choose a Player of the Week and then we need to get more background information. So, we contact the person who made the nomination. Your personal information is kept confidential and not given out to anyone.
- What happens to the nomination after I send it?
It is date and time-stamped and is put into our database for review.
- Do you notify people who are or are not chosen?
No. That would be time-consuming. If you are chosen, you'll see your information on the Player of the Week page.
- Will you scan a picture if I send one?
No. It is up to you to send an image in the proper format. If you need more help, refer to the image tips page.
- Will you manipulate or retouch and image that is not in the proper format?
No. Such images will be deleted.
- What happens if I resend the same nomination?
We will remove that nomination from consideration. One nomination is enough to get our attention.
